| This is a club for fans or anybody who might be interested in the series of books written by Elyne Mitchell, the animated series on which the books were based or the live action film (The Silver Brumby - AUS or The Silver Stallion - USA). No matter which medium you enjoy the stories, if you love Thowra, this is the place for you. For those who aren't already familiar with the stories, The Silver Brumby series is a collection of children's books by Australian author Elyne Mitchell. They recount the life and adventures of Thowra, a magnificent pale Brumby stallion, and his descendants, and are set in the Snowy Mountains region of Australia. Being long-time fans of these characters, *Argo-Wings and myself, *Crimson-Mane decided to make a new club to collect up artwork and put them on display for other fans. And hopefully win some new fans in the process!  So... who is the silver brumby?   The silver brumby is Thowra, a cream coloured brumby colt with silver mane and tail. His sire was Yarraman and his dam is named Bel Bel. In the first book, Thowra must rise up to defeat the Brolga, the merciless grey brumby stallion who killed Yarraman and stole his place as king of the Cascade Brumbies. Cool! So how do I join?  Press the "Join our group" button and enjoy!We are open to everyone and anyone who has interest in the silver brumby. You don't need to be a 100% active member to join. All are welcome and you do not need to ask to join. It is recommended that you watch us as well, so you can keep updated with the latest submissions. How do I submit my work?  The only rule concerning submitting artwork is that it must contain at least one silver brumby character. It can be made with whatever medium you desire, from traditional to digital to photo manipulations to whatever your imagination desires.
